Things to do in Northumberland

Northumberland is rich in activities, pubs and restaurants. Our cottages are in convenient locations with easy access to coastal towns, beaches and local shopping facilities.

We’ve compiled some of our favourite things to do and see whilst in Northumberland for you to get inspired. We can’t guarantee everything will be accurate given a venue’s ownership/management changes over time and experiences are never permanent.

Walks

There are hundreds of attractive walks in Northumberland from Rothbury, the Cheviots, Hadrians Wall and Lindisfarne.

View our favourites from the interactive map we’ve created for you. You’ll find each cottage on the map with local walks and variations to create your own loops.

You may have to load the map twice for the walks to appear – this is a glitch with Google.

Cycle routes

There are so many quiet rural roads surrounding the cottages that are perfect for cycling. We’ve created an interactive map showing our favourite local cycle routes for you to enjoy during your stay.

You can rest easy knowing your precise wheels are safe within lockable storage we provide for your bikes at each of our cottages.
